Sterispace™ for Defense
The SteriSpace™ system has been developed in a series of programs primarily funded by the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD). The tested unit achieved a kill effectiveness of >99.9999% against diverse biological challenges, including bacterial spores, an anthrax simulant, a vegetative bacterium, and viruses. Prototypes capable of delivering 300 CFM have been developed for battlefield portable shelter applications.
Designed in collaboration with
U.S. Department of defense
With funding from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), our patented technology was applied to a mobile, 5,000 CFM unit which was designed, built and tested to provide collective biological protection to buildings in a developed area or an expeditionary setting using mobile trailer-based systems.
One or more systems can be connected to the air ducts in a building with an HVAC system, or to an opening (such as a window or a door), in a building without an HVAC system. The 5,000 CFM SteriSpace™ unit can also be installed as a fixed site unit in a building and connected to the air handling system. The unit can easily be configured to maintain a negative or positive pressure.
Many products, many applications
The B-SAFER System can be used in naval vessels and other DOD vehicles, while the I-SAFER system can be used in portable shelter/ tent applications during deployment. V-SAFER, used in sterilization of air in office buildings, can be used in government buildings and military headquarters
