The SteriSpace™ technology was developed in a series of programs funded by the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD). The technology was originally designed to mitigate possible bio-terrorism risks in government buildings. The technology has been shown to achieve a 6-log reduction against diverse biological challenges, including bacterial spores, a vegetative bacterium, viruses, and even an anthrax simulant.
For general building applications, integrating into HVAC systems of office buildings can clean the air, leading to healthier and happier employees and increased energy savings (if the heat energy produced by the unit is used to defray heating costs in the cold winter months).
